Endoblate

The first version of the Habib Endoscopic Ablator is a flexible multiple arrays of needles used to destroy or palliate solid organ tumours that currently are not amenable to surgical removal. This extends the principle of RF ablation into the hollow organs such as stomach, duodenum, bladder and lungs. Another modification of the first version will enable the device to be used in the treatment of oesophageal varices as well as the treatment of haemorrhoids. The device will be introduced through the biopsy channel of various endoscopes.
